Apple Pie
For people who have their very own pie molds at home, it can be more cost effective to only purchase the non-frozen dough that does not come in a tin as it usually comes in a pack of two. That way you can lay one dough onto your enviable mold and cut the other into strips for the lattice.

Ingredients
- 3-4 apples thinly sliced and unpeeled
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- cinnamon for seasoning
- 1 9-in ready-to-bake frozen pie dough in a tin
- 1 9-in pie dough (not frozen and not in a tin)
Instructions
- Melt butter in sauce pan on medium heat. Add flour and stir until smooth. Add brown sugar and water and continue to stir on low whilst simmering for about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Toss apple slices in the sugar sauce and cinnamon.
- Pile mixture onto the tin with the frozen pie dough.
- Cut the other pie dough (the non-frozen one) into eight 1-inch strips. Lattice the strips over the dough. Cut off any overhanging edges.
- Put your pie on a cookie sheet in case of spillage.
- Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes. Then bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes.
